Create A Remarkable Experience

One of my favorite definitions of the C.A.R.E. acronym is Create A Remarkable Experience. Just doing a good job isn’t going to be enough if you are trying to build a great company. To stand out from the competition you have to go above and beyond what is expected, you need to be remarkable.

Creating a remarkable experience for customers doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money or take a lot of time. Think about the “Baker’s dozen”. To make you feel special and brighten up your day the baker throws in an extra donut for free. The lawn mowing team brings up your recycle and garbage bins from the end of the driveway (Grounds Guys), the moving company brings you a cup of coffee the way you like it because they know that you’ve already packed up your coffee maker. (YouMoveMe), the plumbers put on boot covers before entering your home. (Mr Rooter)

Maybe its something as simple as a smile and wave. Get together with your team and figure out what your company can do to create a remarkable experience consistently. The definition of remarkable is “Something worth remarking about”. When you make customers feel “VIP” they will definitely find it worth remarking about. //
